Notwithstanding the NoDerivatives terms stated in Part One above, the author, Colin O’Neill, hereby grants the following additional permissions without requiring separate written consent, subject to the conditions set forth in this Addendum.

SECTION A — PERMITTED USES

The following types of derivative works are expressly permitted under this Addendum:

1. TRANSLATIONS
Translation of this work into other languages is permitted, provided the translation is accurate and complete, and does not omit, alter, or misrepresent the Valorys methodology, principles, or frameworks as presented in the original work.

2. EDUCATIONAL SUMMARIES AND ADAPTATIONS
Summaries, abridgements, course materials, syllabi, study guides, and classroom adaptations of this work are permitted for non-commercial educational purposes, including use in academic institutions, nonprofit training programs, and professional development curricula.

3. ACADEMIC WORKS
Scholarly articles, research papers, dissertations, and academic publications that incorporate, cite, summarize, or analyze the content of this work are permitted, provided they comply with standard academic citation practices.

4. COMMENTARY AND CRITICISM
Works of commentary, criticism, review, or analysis that quote from or refer to this work are permitted in accordance with applicable fair use and fair dealing principles.

SECTION B — CONDITIONS APPLYING TO ALL PERMITTED ADAPTATIONS

All derivative works permitted under Section A must comply with the following conditions:

2. METHODOLOGICAL INTEGRITY
No permitted adaptation may alter, distort, misrepresent, or selectively omit the core principles of the Valorys framework in a manner that changes their fundamental meaning or implies conclusions not supported by the original work. If an adaptation presents a modified or alternative interpretation, it must be clearly identified as such and distinguished from the original author’s stated positions.

3. TRADEMARK COMPLIANCE
Permitted adaptations may not use the names “Vterra,” “Valorys,” or “Verix” in a manner that implies endorsement by, affiliation with, or authorization by the author or Vterra, Inc., except as required for accurate attribution. Use of these marks is further governed by the Vterra Trademark Usage Policy at https://vterra.ai/trademark-policy

4. NO COMMERCIAL ADAPTATION WITHOUT PERMISSION
Translations and educational adaptations intended for commercial sale or commercial licensing require separate written permission from the author. To request a commercial adaptation license, contact: [email protected]

5. NOTICE OF ADAPTATION
The adapter must notify the author of any publicly distributed adaptation by sending a copy or a link to: [email protected]. This requirement is for informational purposes and does not constitute a requirement for approval.

SECTION C — NO EXPANSION OF RIGHTS

This Addendum does not expand any rights beyond those expressly stated in Sections A and B. All other provisions of the CC BY-ND 4.0 license in Part One remain in full effect. Nothing in this Addendum grants permission to create derivative works not expressly listed in Section A.

SECTION D — REVOCATION

The author reserves the right to revoke the permissions granted in this Addendum for future distributions, upon thirty (30) days written notice. Revocation will not affect derivative works already in distribution prior to the revocation date that were created in compliance with this Addendum.
